I woke up this morning with… you guessed it, a migraine. So I had to move on to my migraine routine. Take an Orange Goody powder, drink water, vomit, go back to bed with a wet cold washcloth. Off to sleep it off for a few hours.
I hate the sensitivity to noise, light and smell. Everything is intensified my 100x. You all know exactly what I am talking about. A tiny light feels light the sun blinding you. A tiny noise echoes throughout your head and body. The scent of anything normally good or bad stinks like a garbage dump.
The worst part for me is the C-clamp tightening on my head and the hammer that keeps pounding my brains in. Luckily my migraine routine helps to relieve some of the pain while sleeping in a quiet, dark room helps to make the rest go away.
Depending on the intensity of the the migraine, depends on whether it takes 2 or 3 days for my head to recover. I’m thankful I no longer deal with them every single day as I did during my teenage years. My brain functioning recovery isn’t what it used to be.
When I woke up this afternoon, I had a ring of healing around me. There were four dogs and three cats that were laying all around me helping me to feel better. Gibson, one of my cats, was laying up against my head where the wet washcloth was, putting pressure on the pain to help ease the pain-if that makes sense. I was infact feeling better and the worst part was over.
Each neurologist I have seen about my migraines and my pituitary tumor say they are not connected. You can not tell me that having a foreign object inside your head that is taking up room has no bearing on these unbearable migraines. The ignorance of some specialists is inconceivable. Yes I am currently looking for another neurologists and whole team for that matter. I believe that if they experienced what those of us do, their stories and remedies would change dramatically.
